Alvaro Catao is a Managing Director, Financial Advisor, and a member of StoneX Wealth Management’s International Private Client Group.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Harvard University. His extensive experience in the financial industry includes his contribution with UBS Private Bank in the Bahamas, and Private Bank's Active Advisory Team in New York. He was a Principal at Pactual Capital Corporation in New York and a banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Miami. He has 15 years as a member of the Chicago Board of Trade, the leading futures exchange, and the CME Group.
He recently joined a one-hundred-year-old diversified provider of financial services StoneX in Miami to help develop the Wealth Management presence in Latin America, with a special focus on the Brazilian market.
Alvaro is multilingual, speaking fluent Portuguese, English, Spanish and French. As a resident of South Florida, he enjoys road cycling as his main outdoor passion.
